Among my many unforgettable travel experiences, my trip to Tibet with a guest couple stands out the most. The sheer majesty of Mt Everest enraptured us, making any discomfort caused by the high altitude simply vanish.
But what made this trip truly unique was a surprise I had in store for my guests. To celebrate one of their birthdays, I secretly arranged a birthday celebration in the secluded Padma Sambhava's meditation cave beneath the upper Rongbuk Monastery. Accompanied by the melodic chants of the local lama, the experience was nothing short of magical.
