We used Asia Highlights back in 2019 for a China trip and it was an outstanding experience so we wanted to use them again since they had expanded their destinations to India. We just came back from a 2 week trip through India and Nepal through them and it was the trip of a lifetime! Together they wandered the marble courtyards of palaces once reserved for royalty, now transformed into heritage hotels. "The hotels (most being converted palaces) were nothing like we've ever experienced," Sarah shared afterward. Her father, who once promised her castles in bedtime stories, was now sipping tea in the shade of one.
From the Taj Mahal at sunrise, glowing softly in the morning light, to a camel ride across the Thar Desert as the sky turned to gold — each day gave them a new chapter. Evenings brought traditional dances under starlit courtyards, croquet on palace lawns, and long conversations only a father and daughter could share.
In Nepal, a scenic flight over the Himalayas gave them their most breathtaking moment: Mt. Everest piercing the clouds, a sight they thought they might miss because of the haze on the ground. It was the kind of memory that felt both larger than life and deeply personal.
For Sarah and her dad, this wasn't just sightseeing. It was a father–daughter fairytale brought to life — proof that the bonds built in childhood can be celebrated in the grandest ways when we travel together.
