After graduating from school, I embarked on a career as a travel advisor, a journey that has spanned approximately 15 years. Through travel, I have discovered not only the differences that exist in the world, but also within ourselves. I will never forget the birthday celebration in a cave at the Base Camp of Everest.
I joined a Tibet trip with a couple from Singapore, as they celebrated their wedding anniversary and the husband's 50th birthday. Our journey took us from Lhasa to Shigaste to Dingri, culminating at the Base Camp. In a sacred and peaceful cave, we invited respected local monks to offer blessings. With bestowed Hada and a sense of awe, we collectively expressed beautiful wishes for our guests. Though not grand, this experience was undoubtedly unique and unforgettable for all of us.
